Assalamualaikum, may peace be upon you.
And may peace be upon the time that has fly so fast like what asdfghjkl?! Final year has been a quite hectic. Maybe because I’m working part time too and it makes it more suffocating. Despite the sunny weather or its 5 degrees outside, you tend to have this minor anxiety attack that comes from remembering that you haven’t completed your task in the office yet to hearing your batch mate talking in a very knowledgeable manner about a module that you’re quite confused about. Oh well.
Final year can be describe as a long marathon. You’re supposed to be constantly energetic, keeping up the momentum and stamina, but my fat ass just pass out at the point of 0.5 km. Like literally. But hey, I learnt something that if we use our time complaining then we’re just wasting time. So there’s no point to that and let’s just face it. I need a degree to catch!
Sarah has been conducting usrahs (small circle of reminders and new islamic knowledge) for the past few weeks and I have never been more at peace in my whole life. Things that was shared by her in the usrah act as a small reminder voices and alarm in my head. Reminders like ‘don’t forget to say istighfar 40 times a day’ or ‘recite yaseen after subuh’ made my day. And the sessions itself are so simple and yet impacting makes you think that Islam is so beautiful until a point that the people who are spreading news about the beauty about are such beautiful souls. I’m so so grateful, it’s beyond words.
So I might share on or two things from Sarah’s usrah which is this ayah :
Some points to highlight are
- You will be tested here, on Earth before being able to enter Jannah
- Seek help from Allah. His is your saviour.
I mean, in the midst of a hectic life, we always need to remember than every heartbreak, every pain, every hunger, every problem is a test from Allah. As his servant, we need to be patient. Patient in dealing the test by staying calm, remain positive and try our best, within our limits to ratify matters and if not, it is upon Allah to decide. Because who knows us better if not our Creator? If you’re worried about your future, then let God decides whats best for you because obviously He creates your future. Everything is in His hands.
Allah does not need us. He is not affected by you praying or not. By you fasting or not. The main thing here is that YOU NEED HIM. You need his mercy, you need his love and compassion. Hence, seek help from him because his help is always near. So mate, when you’re starting to feel anxious and worried, always know that is up to Him to decide whats best for you. Believe it.
