My Accounting Class during A-Levels

Hello and assalamualaikum everyone!

Madam Haliza ( ALevels Coordinator in Intec) announced that there will be changes in the subjects we took. Like mine, a combo of Law, Maths, Econs and AS is Accounting. The three were A2 subjects which means I have to learn it until the fourth semester, and the latter I will learn only for a year which is two years and half of the syllabus. But Madam said we have to choose only three subject, hence no more AS, i guess. Because it is so samar-samar thank god Presiden Sofia went to see her today for some confirmation. So…. I’ll just get back to my point whether I’m gonna drop Economics or Accounting. Tough one baby, tough one.

I consulted Kak Wan, senior in ssp and in intec. Well according to her, accounting is slightly similar to addmaths. Rough at first, easy to score. While Economics is similar to Sejarah, fun to learn, hard to score.
Let me just recall those days back in high school.

Addmaths.

When I was in F4, ofkoz I had the same mentality with others, add maths was and still a killer subject. Gila tak? Masa trial maths pmr pun so hard nak dapat A, dan naik f4, gila ke aku nak ambik addmaths. First addmaths test was hilarious, my modern maths marks was lower than my addmaths. Zethy ni sumpah otak dia tak betul. With Teacher Nik, Addmaths bagaikan angin lalu. Kadang-kadang nota tak tertulis, tuto pun salin orang. (( Jangan jadi macam aku, perangai macam ni tak leh jadi best student, ingat tu adik-adik))
Naik F5, only God knows. Only God knows.
I got Teacher Syira as my Addmaths Teacher. Masak oi masak. Tak ada satu kelas kalau aku tak masuk kalau tak baca tiga kul untuk harap-harap tak kena point dengan teacher. Ataupun meng-usha hari ni teacher pakai kaler ape. Kalau merah tu, dah doa dengan Allah mintak tolong jadi invisible for two periods of addmaths.
My first addmaths test that year, hahahahaha. Surprisingly I got an A plus, sebab teacher ambik soalan past year mostly. dan itulah A plus, yang pertama dan terakhir , aku rasalah masa tu. Naik midyear, hambik kau, B minus. Tapi muda lagi en masa tu (acehhh) tak ambil pusing sangat. Masa trials, dapat B minus lagi. Ingat lagi hari Teacher Syira masuk kelas dengan semua kertas yang bertanda, tang nama aku, tak ketaq lutut nak gi meja guru lah kan. Teacher Syira pandang aku, hempas kertas aku atas meja guru,

” Sampai bila awak nak jadi teruk macam ni Zethy ?!!”

Memang teruk, bila 80% kelas aku dah A masa tu. Dan menjadi ketua kelas, teacher expect aku sehebat Intan atau Jun. Hmm. Since that day, which was less than two months towards SPM, aku buat addmaths hari-hari. Lunyai dah past years aku, dua tiga round jugak aku buat. Sampai dah ingat skema macam mana dan apa yang dia nak.

Dan alhamdulillah, A plus tertera sebelah Add Maths di atas slip SPM. dan….. A for Modern Maths. Hahahahahaha, ye aku tahu aku ntah pape. Buat lawak kat anak cucu je nanti.

Accounting

The last last last time I did accounting was with Cikgu Azanah. It was imbangan duga yada yada. Akaun Jualan sampai mati kredittttttttt. Akaun pemiutang, akaun penghutang lah. It was the simplest most basic accounting learned in Kemahiran Hidup. Even though I think I can do accounting, and was this close to enroll in 4 Tekun, but fate just dont let me back then. Fate brings me back to Accounting during A Levels.

With Sir Akbal, it was slightly like Teacher Syira. Earlier classes were okay, same basic old things but in English until it comes to Adjustments… oh man. I literally had migraine after classes. Kecut perut everytime he comes near and brings his red pen and go ” Zapppp Salah” on your exersices book. *cries a river*

I had a rough time, to be in the same level with my classmates whom had basic accounting in their high school years. I scored the second lowest in class for my first test. It was a pain in the ass.

But I’ll always remember Sir Akbal’s advice.

” Dalam dunia ni, semua benda berubah. Manusia berubah, persekitaran boleh berubah, even Perlembagaan Persekutuan pun boleh diubah, sebab ia ditulis oleh manusia. Cuma ada dua benda je tak boleh berubah ; Al Quran dan Sunnah. Berpeganglah pada dua tu sampai hari kiamat nanti

So….markah test 1 aku yang teruk tu akhirnya berubah juga. Sir senyum je bila aku masuk ambik result test 2 dalam office dia. Lega lah jugak, tak tinggi mana, tapi beza empat markah ngan Naimi. *Achievement unlocked*

p/s – tak decide lagi nak pilih apa, hmm.
